Join Simon in New York this year
Join Simon in New York this year Cork Simon is bringing a team to run or walk the New York City Marathon this year. This is the most exciting marathon in the world and you can be a part of it while also helping Simon.

The event happens on Sunday, November 7th with the Cork Simon team leaving Shannon on Friday, November 5th. The team returns on the following Wednesday night.

The fundraising target for the event is €3,500 and participants are requested to lodge a non-refundable deposit of €275.

Lord Mayor launches 'Sign up for Simon' campaign. Lord Mayor of Cork, Ald. Colm Burke launched the 'Sign up for Simon' campaign at a reception at Musgrave Park. He encouraged the community to lend their support to the campaign which is so important to Cork Simon in its work with the homeless in the city.

Munster Branch President of IRFU at the Sign up launch. Dr. Len Harty, President of the Munster Branch, IRFU is delighted to lend the support of Munster rugby to this important campaign. He sees it as very important that rugby in the province, and its supporters, have a social conscience and homelessness is a problem that deserves widespread support if it is to be solved.

Gardai in Cork and beyond will play a lead role in the campaign which is also supported by Munster players.
